Educational Alliance’s Center for Recovery and Wellness provides recovery, wellness, treatment, prevention, and community programs. Working under the Chef, the Senior Assistant Cook implements the cycle menu and prepares culturally diverse foods with volunteer food service staff. The role supports meal service by following nutrition plans, food safety standards, and production needs.

What you'll do

• Assist with meal preparation according to nutrition plans
• prepare culturally appropriate foods using varied equipment and designated methods
• follow portion requirements
• ensure food is properly cooked and presented in sufficient quantities
• maintain sanitation and safety standards
• track food and kitchen inventory
• maintain temperature, refrigeration, and sanitation logs
• operate equipment safely
• attend required meetings and training
• maintain a clean workstation and organize dishware and utensils.
