Direct Support Professional — Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities

The Direct Support Professional role is onsite in Wilson, NC; the stated pay range is $12–$14 per hour. All Ways Caring HomeCare provides direct care to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a home-like setting. The professional supports clients’ personal care, health, daily activities, and individual service plans. The role promotes self-help, positive relationships, and community participation while documenting care and supporting safety.

What you'll do

• Assist with hygiene, grooming, feeding, ambulation, medical monitoring, and health-related tasks
• foster positive relationships with individuals and their support circles
• encourage self-help activities
• implement Individual Service Plans and Behavior Support Plans
• prevent or de-escalate aggression
• document activities, drills, plans, medications, goals, and data
• transport individuals to community activities and medical appointments
• run errands for clients.
