Electrical Engineer — Power Distribution and Analysis

The Electrical Engineer — Power Distribution and Analysis role is hybrid in Los Angeles, CA; compensation is $160,000–$190,000 per year. Harley Ellis Devereaux is an integrated architecture and engineering practice, and this role supports complex electrical project scopes. The engineer manages analytical work and quality reviews, develops power system analyses, and integrates results into electrical designs and construction documentation. The role also serves as a technical contact, resolves system-level challenges, supports project strategy, and mentors junior engineers and designers.

What you'll do

• Perform voltage drop, short circuit, selective coordination, and arc flash analyses for medium-voltage, low-voltage, and DC systems
• support electrical design and documentation
• gather and analyze system data
• coordinate analysis results with system design
• resolve interdisciplinary system conflicts
• prepare technical specifications and review submittals, RFIs, and substitutions
• conduct site visits, field verification, and punch walks
• prepare field reports
• perform QA/QC reviews
• mentor junior engineers and designers
• contribute to project scoping, resource planning, and meetings.

Why this role
