The principal supports Menta Academy Gillespie, a PK–21 special education school focused on students’ academic, behavioral, and developmental needs. The principal leads school-wide instruction and operations, develops high-performing teams, and works with staff, students, and families to improve learning and behavioral outcomes. The role supports a safe, student-focused environment and the school’s goal of helping students become college, career, and citizenship ready.

What you'll do

• Collaborate on school plans and procedures for instruction, students’ social and emotional needs, safety, and building operations
• support special education initiatives
• work with staff and students to improve academic and behavioral achievement
• lead teams and communicate the school vision
• develop and improve instructional programs
• maintain a student-focused environment with high academic expectations
• supervise and support professional development for teachers and staff
• confer with students, parents, and staff to resolve issues.
