Hospice Aide

The Hospice Aide role is onsite in Des Moines, IA. Compensation is not specified. Affinity Hospice Management provides hospice care, and the aide works under a registered nurse’s supervision to support patient comfort and personal care. The role carries out assigned care in accordance with each patient’s plan, observes and documents care, and reports changes or concerns to the RN Case Manager. It contributes to safe, respectful, and continuous care for patients and support for their families and caregivers.

What you'll do

• Provide assigned personal care, including bathing, oral hygiene, dressing, and feeding assistance
• support safe mobility, exercise, transfers, and positioning as directed
• observe skin and report pain, symptoms, or condition changes to the RN Case Manager
• assist with self-administered medication reminders as allowed
• document care
• provide appropriate respite
• maintain the patient’s living area as assigned
• report suspected abuse, neglect, abandonment, or exploitation.
