Loss Prevention Investigator

The Loss Prevention Investigator role is onsite in Austin, TX. Compensation is $50,000 per year. The investigator supports asset protection across Goodwill Industries of Central Texas locations. The role prevents and recovers lost or stolen company assets through investigations, evidence gathering, interviews, and reporting. Staff coaching and use of security and point-of-sale tools help detect and prevent misuse of company resources.

What you'll do

• Investigate loss-prevention matters by gathering evidence, conducting interviews, collecting statements, and preparing reports
• maintain activity, incident, and observation summaries
• use CCTV and access-control systems
• support key control and asset protection programs
• review point-of-sale exception reports and investigate suspected policy violations or theft
• coordinate with retail managers, operations, facilities, and law enforcement.
