Specialty Group Counselor

The Specialty Group Counselor is an onsite role in Beachwood, OH, with some groups delivered virtually. Compensation is $45–$55 per hour. Asurgent Health provides behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment in Beachwood. The counselor leads an assigned clinical specialty across programs while sharing core counseling duties with the team. The role develops and facilitates evidence-based groups, documents care, consults with colleagues, and coordinates client support and referrals.

What you'll do

• Design, lead, and update a weekly evidence-based specialty group curriculum
• facilitate groups in person and virtually
• align curriculum with the monthly clinical theme
• consult on cases and share training with peers
• complete group and individual notes in the EHR within required timeframes
• coordinate with case management, peer support, and housing staff
• support discharge planning and community referrals tied to the specialty.
