The Wound Care Nurse (Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse) role is onsite in Melbourne, FL, with compensation of $27–$40 per hour. Melbourne Healthcare and Rehabilitation’s nursing team provides individualized wound and skin care for residents. The nurse develops and carries out wound-care plans, monitors healing and skin condition, and coordinates with the interdisciplinary team. The work supports healing, comfort, prevention of pressure injuries, and residents’ quality of life.

What you'll do

• Collaborate on individualized wound-care plans
• provide wound treatments and monitor healing within scope and provider orders
• perform skin checks and document findings
• identify pressure-injury risks and implement prevention
• monitor discomfort and assist with prescribed pain management
• contribute to applicable MDS sections
• follow infection-prevention protocols
• educate residents and families
• coordinate with nursing and dietary staff
• report safety concerns.
