The Gastroenterology Physician – Locum Tenens assignment is onsite in Redding, CA, with coverage scheduled December 21–27, 2026, and additional January dates to be determined. Listed compensation includes $225 per hour for orientation, $3,510 per 24-hour on-call period, $5,260 per holiday 24-hour on-call period, $450 per hour for call back, and $670 per hour for holiday call back. The assignment provides inpatient and emergency gastroenterology coverage for adult patients. The physician evaluates and manages gastrointestinal conditions, responds to urgent consultations, and performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. The role helps maintain continuity of inpatient and emergency GI care during the coverage assignment, coordinating with emergency and inpatient teams and documenting in Cerner.

What you'll do

• Provide inpatient gastroenterology services
• evaluate and manage acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions
• respond to emergency GI consultations
• perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
• develop individualized treatment plans
• coordinate with emergency and inpatient teams
• provide 24-hour call coverage on assigned dates and respond to call backs as clinically necessary
• document in Cerner
• support continuity of care.
