Industrial Painter — Locomotives

The Industrial Painter role is onsite in Muncie, IN, with pay of $22 per hour. The position supports a client in the locomotive manufacturing industry through Sterling Engineering’s staffing services. This role prepares and paints locomotives for shipment, completing surface preparation, masking, coating, touch-ups, and decal application while maintaining painting equipment and following manufacturing safety procedures.

What you'll do

• Prepare locomotive surfaces by power washing, sanding, grinding, filling, glazing, and masking
• apply paint, stencils, and decals
• operate and maintain spray guns, mixers, pumps, booths, and paint-kitchen equipment
• assist with locomotive packaging and shipment preparation
• follow safety procedures and measure or convert application quantities.
