Job overview

The Custodian role is onsite in Knoxville, TN, and pays $16 per hour. The position supports Knoxville’s Community Development Corporation (KCDC) and its mission and strategic objectives by maintaining clean, orderly buildings and grounds. The custodian performs janitorial work across assigned KCDC properties, including common areas, offices, restrooms, walkways, and housing units. Keeping these spaces clean and clear of debris helps reduce risks to residents, visitors, and staff and supports the upkeep of Authority properties.

What you'll do

• Clean and maintain lobbies, community halls, offices, restrooms, and assigned leased units
• sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors
• clean walls, ceilings, windows, fixtures, and appliances
• maintain grounds, walkways, parking areas, hallways, and garbage areas
• notify a supervisor about supply needs and repairs
• assist with building security, equipment moves, and meeting setup
• remove trash and debris from vacated units and grounds.
