Occupational Therapy Assistant is an onsite role in Colorado Springs, CO, with a pay range of $27.61 - $41.41/hour. This position supports the Acute Care Rehabilitation department at UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central. Under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, this role treats patients for therapy needs, implements treatment plans, monitors patient responses, and educates patients and families. Responsibilities include documenting services, assisting with discharge planning, and supervising support personnel.

What you'll do

• Implements treatment plan developed by supervising therapist using appropriate modalities.
• Seeks consultation as necessary.
• Monitors patient's responses to the treatment plan.
• Regularly communicates patient progress and possible goal revisions to the occupational therapist.
• Documents services provided and patient response/progress.
• Educates the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits and provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and community support programs.
• Assists with patient discharge planning.
• Supervises support personnel according to established licensing laws, state regulations and practice standards and other duties as assigned.
