Class B Diesel Mechanic Technician - 3rd Shift

The Class B Diesel Mechanic Technician is an onsite role based in Houston, TX. The pay is $30.00 per hour or more based on experience. This role supports the fleet maintenance team at Performance Foodservice. This role exists to perform preventative maintenance on medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and refrigeration units. The technician contributes to the team's goals by ensuring fleet compliance with state and federal regulations, performing repairs, and maintaining accurate work order documentation.

What you'll do

• Complete preventative maintenance on fleet diesel equipment
• identify root causes of failures
• perform repairs
• ensure equipment licensing and registration
• document work orders in the asset management system
• install/repair onboard computers
• inspect brake systems and steering mechanisms
• perform routine maintenance like oil changes and battery checks.
