The Entry-Level Field Technician I role is an onsite, traveling field position based in Providence, RI, paying $20–$23 per hour. A company vehicle is provided, and a clean driving record is required. The position is a 6+ month contract-to-hire opportunity. Working under senior staff supervision, the technician develops foundational skills in operating, maintaining, and monitoring environmental control systems. Field observations, measurements, and basic maintenance support system performance and safe operations.
What you'll do
- Assist senior staff with daily planning and Crew Activity Plans
- learn and follow company procedures and health and safety requirements
- perform basic maintenance and repairs under guidance
- record field observations in notes and logs
- use and handle calibrated field instruments
- participate in preliminary data reviews and operational adjustments
- train on tools and equipment
- assist with removal of landfill liquids pumps.
