The Physical Infrastructure Specialist role is an onsite, full-time position in Dahlgren, VA, with a stated annual salary range of $120,000–$150,000. Astrion has four contingent openings supporting U.S. Navy enterprise information technology operations in Dahlgren. The specialist installs, tests, maintains, and sustains physical communications infrastructure that enables secure, mission-critical Navy information systems. Reliable cabling, fiber, electrical, and power infrastructure supports enterprise communications and IT operations.

What you'll do

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair structured cabling
• terminate copper and fiber optic cabling
• test and certify fiber using OTDRs and other equipment
• support electrical wiring and generator power systems
• document installations, modifications, and test results
• assist with modernization, network expansion, relocations, and facility upgrades
• coordinate with engineering, administration, and facilities teams
• perform preventative maintenance and maintain technical records.
