The medication technician sets up and documents medication assistance and supports residents with self-administration as directed. The role also assists residents with activities of daily living and contributes to safe, consistent care in the community.

What you'll do

• Set up medications and assist residents in the Medication Program with self-administration
• record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians or directed by the RN and RSD
• document medication assistance on Medication Assistance Records immediately and completely, including PRN reasons and effectiveness
• assist residents with activities of daily living
• meet required health screening and clearance requirements
• hold current basic first aid or obtain it within 30 days of hire.
