Annealing Helper — 2nd Shift is a fully onsite role in Wheeling, IL, scheduled from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Pay is $19–$21 per hour, plus a $0.50-per-hour shift differential. Wieland manufactures and processes copper and copper alloys. The helper supports the production department by operating the annealing line and completing orders according to production priorities. The role handles coils and strip, checks process values and material quality, and contributes to safe, efficient production with attention to throughput, yield, and scrap goals.

What you'll do

• Load coils and thread new strip
• unload and tie finished coils
• cut and stitch strip and dismantle the stitch with another worker
• measure process values and adjust them as needed
• clean water filters and filter mats
• operate overhead cranes and forklifts
• cross-train in other production areas
• maintain 5S improvements and a safe, environmentally responsible plant
• monitor material quality and equipment performance
• support production throughput, yield, and scrap goals.
