Floater, Childcare Classroom Support

The Floater role is onsite in Hermitage, TN, typically Monday–Friday from 12 PM to 5 PM for 25 hours per week; additional hours may be available by substituting for morning staff as needed. Pay is $15–$17 per hour. Learn & Grow Creative Arts Center is an inclusive, secular school with a STEAM-based curriculum. The floater provides classroom coverage and supports children’s safety, social development, and learning activities. By assisting teachers and collaborating with educators, the role helps maintain a safe, clean classroom and continuity of care and instruction.

What you'll do

• Help with lunch breaks
• substitute for teachers when they have appointments, vacation, or are sick
• observe children and support social competencies and self-esteem
• guide children’s artistic and practical development through curriculum activities
• supervise children for safety
• collaborate with educators
• maintain a clean classroom consistent with health and safety standards.
