What you'll do

• Attend daily inventory meetings
• manage stock items and communicate product or packaging changes
• maintain stock-item cost fields in AS400
• develop weekly sales forecasts and purchase products to meet inventory requirements
• analyze market conditions with sales
• assist with sales and market plans
• use supplier lead times
• research and source products
• monitor carrier delivery schedules
• prepare purchase orders and transportation instructions
• track freight and confirm inbound purchase orders
• cross-train with buyers and inventory control
• update bid sheets, handle sales accounts, distribute fresh-product information, and answer inquiries.
