The Vocational Specialist-Counselor role is onsite in Coney Island, Brooklyn, New York; pay is $26.04 per hour. The role exists to help clients pursue employment, education, and community participation goals while coordinating recreational and skill-building activities and maintaining required tax-credit compliance documentation.

What you'll do

• Conduct intake assessments and develop vocational and educational plans
• provide counseling, educational planning, and employment-readiness support
• connect clients with community resources
• develop employer relationships and support job placement and retention
• facilitate recreational and community integration activities
• maintain program documentation and reports
• manage tax-credit files and assist with audit preparation
• collaborate with residential staff and participate in interdisciplinary meetings
• provide crisis intervention and problem-solving support as needed.
