Assistant Teacher

The Assistant Teacher role is onsite in Tucson, AZ. Compensation is $16–$18 per hour. The role supports The Learning Experience’s early childhood classrooms and its stated mission to make a difference in the lives of children, families, and communities. Working with classroom teachers, the assistant helps create a safe, welcoming environment where children can play, learn, and grow. The role supports curriculum implementation, children’s everyday care and development, and communication with families.

What you'll do

• Partner with teachers to support classroom activities
• help implement the L.E.A.P. Curriculum for infants, toddlers, and/or preschool children
• maintain a safe and nurturing environment
• support parent updates about progress and milestones
• help meet children’s everyday needs, including diapering, dressing, grooming, and feeding
• encourage social skills and developmentally appropriate activities.

Why this role

High school diploma or GED is required; early childhood education coursework is preferred. Prior childcare experience or a demonstrated interest in early childhood education is preferred.
