Activity Aide

Job overview

The Activity Aide role is onsite in Canton, MI. Pay is $16 per hour. The aide supports the Activity Director or Assistant Activity Director with programs for residents at Manors of Canton. The role helps deliver activities suited to residents’ interests and functional needs, while encouraging participation, community, and belonging. It also supports resident outings, records participation, and communicates resident concerns to a supervisor.

What you'll do

• Facilitate planned activity programs
• assist residents to and from activities and outings
• maintain rapport with families and encourage their support
• record resident attendance and participation
• provide input on participation assessments when requested
• communicate resident concerns and responses to interventions to a supervisor
• support resident preferences and choices
• assist with volunteers and volunteer programs at the Activity Director’s request
• clean activity equipment and materials
• participate in long-term care survey, regulatory, and accreditation processes.
