Budget Analyst

Job overview

The Budget Analyst is a hybrid position in Washington, DC, with some onsite work based on customer requirements. Compensation is $100,000 to $120,000 USD per year. The analyst supports the client’s operating budgets in coordination with the Chief Information Security Officer. The role tracks and analyzes budget execution, forecasts, and financial status to give the client an accurate view of funds and spending. It improves financial processes and reporting while supporting strategic planning and timely budget decisions.

What you'll do

• Analyze labor and non-labor budgets against committed, obligated, and expended funds
• track burn rates and balances
• assist service owners and CORs with forecasting revenue and expenses
• process funding transactions and reimbursement agreements
• improve budget workflows
• support strategic financial planning and OMB reporting
• prepare reports and executive meeting materials
• maintain financial spreadsheets
• analyze variances and document procedures.
