What you'll do

• Provides physical therapy services according to a written physician's plan of care.
• Advises, consults, and teaches appropriate treatment procedures and supportive activities to clients, family members, and other agency staff.
• Assists the provider in evaluating level of function and participates in the development of the plan of care.
• Prepares clinical and progress notes, translates exercises into functional activities, and develops plans for modifying equipment.
• Confers regularly with the attending provider regarding client's progress and interprets social and physical factors in the environment affecting care.
• Provides families with information, support, and encouragement.
• Prepares and submits clinical and progress summaries.
• Supervises physical therapy assistants.
• Maintains accurate clinical records.

What we're looking for

Education

Graduate from a School of Physical Therapy approved by the American Physical Therapy Association or Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the Physical Therapy Association

Experience

2 years experience in an acute hospital or equivalent experience (preferred)
