What you'll do

• Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures according to physician orders and protocols
• verify patient identity and review history
• explain procedures and position patients
• capture, process, and transmit digital images using PACS
• check image quality
• follow radiation safety and ALARA principles
• use protective devices
• monitor patients for distress or adverse reactions
• protect patient privacy
• prepare and clean rooms and equipment
• maintain records
• report equipment malfunctions
• assist with scheduling or check-in when required
• coordinate with clinical staff and referring providers.
