The Survey Party Chief / Crew Chief role is onsite in Tucson, AZ, with assignments primarily local and occasional out-of-town overnight travel. Compensation is not specified. Alta Environmental & Infrastructure provides surveying, civil engineering, geotechnical and materials testing, environmental, and EHS services supporting infrastructure and community projects.

What you'll do

• Lead and direct field survey operations for construction, topographic, right-of-way, and control surveys
• gather data using conventional and GPS methods
• operate total stations, data collectors, GPS equipment, levels, transits, and electronic measuring devices
• maintain field records and project files
• train and mentor crew members
• and oversee survey equipment maintenance and inventory. The role may include temporary mapping compliance or related office survey duties to satisfy training or experience requirements for a Professional Land Surveyor’s license.
