The Childcare Cook role is onsite in York, PA, at Werner Early Learning Childcare Center. Pay is $18–$21 per hour. The position supports the center’s early learning program by preparing meals and snacks for young children. This role plans, prepares, and serves age-appropriate meals while managing menus, food purchasing, inventory, kitchen sanitation, and required records. It contributes to a safe, healthy, nurturing environment for children, families, and staff.

What you'll do

• Plan, prepare, and serve daily breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks
• develop monthly menus
• order or shop for food and kitchen supplies
• maintain and rotate inventory using FIFO practices
• keep the kitchen clean and sanitary
• wash and store dishes and equipment
• maintain food temperature logs, cleaning schedules, and kitchen records
• follow food safety regulations
• communicate with classroom staff about meals, allergies, and dietary needs
• support nutrition activities and family events when requested.
