What you'll do

• Perform maternal and fetal assessments throughout labor
• assist physicians and midwives during vaginal deliveries and prepare surgical areas for Cesarean sections
• administer prescribed medications and monitor physiological responses of mother and baby
• guide families on pain management, infant nutrition, and skin-to-skin bonding
• participate in the Transition to Practice/Nurse Residency Program if new to the specialty.
