What you'll do

• Establish rapport with patients
• document chief complaints, history, and ocular findings
• perform pre-exam testing and specialized tests
• perform refractometry
• assist with minor surgical procedures or laser treatments
• help fit contact lenses and instruct patients
• process authorized prescription refill requests
• educate patients on medications and pre- and post-operative instructions
• maintain medication and supply inventory
• clean and maintain instruments and exam lanes
• follow safety procedures.
