Behavior Specialist

The Behavior Specialist position is onsite at Sheridan Road in Lansing, MI. Compensation is $28.75 per hour. The Lansing School District serves PreK–12 students across 25 school buildings and is dedicated to providing an excellent education in a safe and nurturing environment. The specialist supports identified students with behavior needs and collaborates with school interventionists, teachers, and administrators. The role develops and implements behavior supports, tracks student outcomes, and coordinates resources to help students progress toward graduation and beyond.

What you'll do

• Develop and implement tiered behavior support systems with school administrators
• build positive relationships with students
• collaborate with teachers and administrators on academic support

• and coordinate services and resources for students and families in and outside the school building.

Why this role

The role works approximately eight hours per day, five days per week, for about 189 days during the school year. A bachelor’s degree is required unless the candidate currently holds an LSEA hourly position.
