Forensic Counselor Intern is an onsite internship in Buffalo, NY, for the Spring 2027 semester. The internship is unpaid. Endeavor Health Services, formerly Mid-Erie Mental Health Services, operates a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic providing mental health and substance use disorder services. The intern supports the clinical team serving forensically connected adults with mental health and substance use needs. Under supervision, the intern develops counseling skills through screening, assessment, documentation, and observing and eventually conducting client sessions or groups.

What you'll do

• Complete documentation, progress notes, treatment and safety plans, and other required paperwork
• learn screening, assessments, clinical interviews, group facilitation, and the electronic records system
• observe and eventually run supervised client sessions and/or groups.
