CNC Shop Supervisor

Job overview

The CNC Shop Supervisor role is onsite in the south Houston, TX area. Pay is $36–$38 per hour. Elevate Human Capital is recruiting for a client in the manufacturing sector. The supervisor leads CNC production activity and helps ensure precision parts meet specifications. The role combines programming and machine setup with operator training, troubleshooting, quality checks, production planning, and shop safety oversight.

What you'll do

• Develop CNC programs for production runs and modify programs for different machines
• supervise employees and work with management
• lead daily production operations when the manager is unavailable
• train employees on CNC machines and programs
• troubleshoot machines and perform basic maintenance
• read technical drawings and set up machines to blueprints
• model cutting paths and program machines
• perform quality assurance checks
• plan production flow, staffing, lead times, and maintenance
• maintain housekeeping and safety
• set performance targets and ensure operators understand quality expectations.
