The System Senior Director of Nursing Research is a full-time onsite position based in Columbia, MD. The hiring range is $142,064.00 - $288,038.00 per year. This role supports the MedStar Health system by setting the vision and strategy for nursing research and scientific inquiry. This role exists to build system-wide research capacity, accelerate clinical nurse-led inquiry, and support Magnet recognition. The Senior Director mentors clinical nurses, ensures compliance with regulatory standards, and integrates evidence-based practice into nursing care to improve patient outcomes.

What you'll do

• Develop and execute a system-wide nursing strategic plan for research and evidence-based practice.
• Promote a culture of scholarly inquiry through education and mentorship.
• Establish research priorities and facilitate collaboration among nurses and other disciplines.
• Build a pipeline for research funding and grant acquisition.
• Disseminate research findings through publications and presentations.
