Life Skills Instructor — Overnight Schedule

Job overview

The Life Skills Instructor role is onsite in Norwich, CT, and pays $20.40–$22.63 per hour. The posted schedule is Sunday 12:00 a.m.–9:00 a.m. and Monday through Wednesday 12:00 a.m.–9:30 a.m.; Friday, Saturday, and Thursday are off. The role supports individuals with developmental disabilities or dual diagnoses in building independent living skills. The instructor provides supportive guidance and helps individuals develop personal, household, health, safety, social, and community-participation skills. The role also supports daily care, medication administration, community activities, documentation, and adherence to individual plans and agency requirements.

What you'll do

• Support individuals in developing independent living skills
• monitor behavior and implement applicable programs
• document activities, incidents, and progress
• maintain home safety and cleanliness
• assist with hygiene, counseling, meals, and medication administration under applicable guidelines
• supervise and safely transport individuals to community activities
• follow emergency procedures and report concerns.
