Mining Engineer

Job overview

The Mining Engineer will assist the Mining Group in all aspects of mine engineering and mining operations. This is an onsite role based in Moreno Valley, CA, with a salary range of $105,000–$135,000 per year, supporting the company's mining department. The role exists to optimize mining methods and ensure resource efficiency through planning, surveying, and project oversight. It contributes to the company's goals by maintaining operational compliance and improving mineral extraction processes.

What you'll do

• Assist in performing mine engineering and mine planning activities
• administer company policies and safety procedures
• communicate with other engineering disciplines
• develop an understanding of cement and aggregate manufacturing
• estimate mineral deposits and develop life of mine designs
• revise one, five, and life of mine plans using Surpac and MineSched
• oversee mining projects
• analyze operations to optimize equipment usage
• perform surveying and plant inventory
• interface with plant personnel and contractors
• perform exploration work
• maintain environmental compliance
• operate drones for aerial surveys.
