The Behavior Specialist 1:1 is an onsite role located in Rouses Point, NY, with a pay range of $23 - $28 per hour. This position supports the Special Education team at ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education, contributing to a mission-driven environment focused on student success. This role exists to provide direct, individualized implementation of positive behavior intervention and support for students with unique learning needs. The specialist works proactively to address challenging behaviors, de-escalate crisis situations, and maintain accurate behavioral data to foster positive academic and social-emotional outcomes.

What you'll do

• Implement targeted individual behavior interventions
• reinforce positive student behavior
• maintain accurate records of student behavior strategies and intervention plans
• collect and chart behavioral data
• provide support to classroom staff
• apply applied behavior analysis principles
• conduct behavioral observations
• assist with instructional activities
• provide crisis intervention
• document behavioral incidents
• adhere to safety protocols
• participate in team meetings and professional development.
