Job overview

The Lead Substation Engineer is an onsite role based in Waldorf, MD, with a salary range of $107,900 to $195,050 per year. This position supports the Leidos Power Delivery Services Team. The role is responsible for the full project lifecycle of substation physical and protection and control (P&C) designs. The engineer will perform quality control, create design drawings, manage bills of materials, and ensure all work complies with National Electrical Safety Code standards and client requirements.

  • Execute substation physical and P&C projects
  • perform quality control on design projects
  • create and review one-line, three-line, schematic, wiring, and grounding drawings
  • manage bills of materials
  • provide project lifecycle support
  • ensure compliance with National Electrical Safety Code
  • collaborate with designers and CAD technicians.
