What you'll do

• Provide nursing care to cardiac and medical-surgical step-down patients
• monitor cardiac conditions, vital signs, and rhythms
• care for patients recovering from open-heart surgery and catheterization
• manage cardiac drips
• administer medications and treatments
• document in Epic
• and follow patient safety, infection control, and clinical protocols. Ventilated-patient care may be required based on patient needs and staffing, and floating to other appropriate units may be necessary.
