The Senior Database Engineer / Database Engineer Advisor role is onsite in Landover, MD. Compensation is $110,000–$140,000 per year. It contributes to reliable, scalable operations through database performance tuning, backup and replication strategies, and automation for patching and routine workflows.

What you'll do

• Design, build, analyze, and install database management systems
• develop data models, relational architectures, metadata repositories, and configuration management frameworks
• write and tune SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers
• implement backup and replication strategies and troubleshoot master-master replication
• maintain Ansible playbooks and UNIX/Linux shell scripts
• provide systems administration support for operating systems and application deployments.
