The Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) — Federal Construction role is onsite at active construction sites in Phoenix, AZ. Compensation is $75,000–$90,000 per year. DAP Construction Management supports federal construction projects, including work with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and other government agencies. The SSHO serves as the on-site safety authority, implementing and enforcing safety programs to prevent incidents and ensure work complies with federal, state, company, OSHA, USACE, and contract requirements. The role works closely with project teams, subcontractors, and government representatives to support safe project delivery.

What you'll do

• Implement and enforce site-specific Accident Prevention Plans
• monitor construction activities for safety compliance
• conduct inspections, job hazard analyses, and risk assessments
• lead safety meetings and orientations
• correct unsafe conditions
• maintain safety records
• coordinate with government safety officers and project leadership
• investigate incidents and near misses
• ensure subcontractor compliance.

Why this role
