Information Assurance and Security Specialist (Master)

The Information Assurance and Security Specialist (Master) is a hybrid position in the DMV area, with the listed worksite in Washington, DC. Pay is $90 per hour on W-2. The role supports the OCFO network infrastructure and customer security requirements. The specialist develops and applies information assurance standards and security solutions, analyzes system vulnerabilities and risks, and helps ensure information systems remain functional and secure. The work includes network, storage, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure, as well as security policy and program support.

What you'll do

• Identify network problems and recommend improvements
• monitor and analyze OCFO network traffic
• advise on security threats and ways to deter them
• develop systems architecture plans
• work with NetApp storage and related technologies
• design and administer VMware infrastructure integrated with SAN
• support disaster recovery and business continuity
• manage Active Directory services
• design and support on-premises and Azure-based computer, network, and storage solutions
• configure network appliances to OCFO security standards
• monitor perimeter security
• develop and implement information assurance standards and procedures
• coordinate security programs
• identify and resolve security violations
• analyze security requirements and vulnerabilities
• design and implement security features and solutions.
