CNC Machinist

The CNC Machinist role is onsite in Paullina, IA. Pay is $20–$25, depending on experience. Mill Creek Machining produces precision components, including components used by the U.S. military, in a climate-controlled shop. The machinist monitors CNC machine performance, makes adjustments, and verifies parts against specifications. The work supports consistent quality and efficient production while coordinating with engineering, quality, production control, and shop personnel.

What you'll do

• Monitor machine performance and identify out-of-tolerance conditions
• verify cycle times
• use precision measuring tools to check part conformance
• read blueprints, specifications, drawings, and work instructions
• adjust machines to maintain quality
• produce parts to close tolerances and efficiency requirements
• inspect machines and work areas
• collaborate with engineering, quality, production control, and shop personnel
• make routine offsets and change inserts as needed
• change fixtures and tooling as instructed
• assist with troubleshooting and continuous improvement.

Why this role

Day shift is Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; night shift is Monday–Thursday, 4:50 p.m.–2:50 a.m., with a substantial shift differential. A weekly attendance bonus is added when all scheduled hours are worked. Requires a high school diploma or GED and one or more years of related experience or training.
