Inbound Shipping Manager

The Inbound Shipping Manager role is onsite in Houston, TX, in the south Houston region. Compensation is not specified. The role leads operational activities for the client’s Receiving Department, ensuring materials are verified, received, and stocked in a clean and safe environment. The manager coordinates receiving workflows, personnel, equipment, and inbound shipments so materials are accurately checked, unloaded, sorted, and placed for stocking. The role also supports training, quality documentation, safety practices, and communication with Sales, Imports, Quality Control, and department leadership.

What you'll do

• Lead receiving operations and delegate work to department leads and personnel
• ensure equipment is in working condition
• coordinate inbound shipments with Sales and Imports
• process shipments and coordinate with Sales, supervisors, and QC
• manage unloading, sorting, verification, and stocking by a team of 7–10 employees
• maintain material verification and documentation
• train personnel and submit training records
• attend production meetings
• maintain safe, organized aisles, racks, and dock space
• conduct safety meetings and enforce lock-out/tag-out protocol.
