Ophthalmic Technician and Scribe

What you'll do

• Provide patient service in person and by phone
• verify patient information and record medical history, medications, and visit purpose
• enter data in the electronic medical record
• perform eye observations and diagnostic tests, including dilation, refraction, pressure checks, visual fields, OCT, GDX, IOL master, autorefractor, and topography
• document physician visits and procedures
• support procedure and diagnosis coding
• prepare patients for treatments and minor procedures
• measure vital signs as required
• open and close exam rooms
• clean and stock rooms and maintain drug counts
• complete assigned office duties.
