What you'll do

• Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and instruments
• set up the sterile field
• perform pre-procedure patient preparation and equipment safety checks
• assemble and test equipment
• assist with patient preparation, transport, positioning, and draping as needed
• pass instruments and supplies
• assist with sutures and other functions under physician supervision
• participate in counts
• prepare specimens and apply dressings
• assist with patient transfer
• clean and restock rooms
• manage supplies and preference cards
• and support decontamination, sterilization, and quality testing.
