Part-Time Custodian — Oswego Head Start

The Part-Time Custodian is an onsite role at Oswego Head Start in Mexico, NY, scheduled Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM for 20 hours per week. Pay is $16.35–$20.19 per hour. The position helps maintain a safe, clean, and healthy learning environment for young children, staff, and families. The custodian completes daily cleaning and maintenance tasks, maintains supplies, and communicates cleaning needs to center staff. Consistent sanitation and upkeep support the well-being and safety of the Head Start community.

What you'll do

• Complete assigned daily cleaning and maintenance checklists
• sweep, mop, vacuum, empty trash, wash windows, dust, and disinfect bathrooms and classroom sinks
• maintain cleaning supplies
• communicate supply and cleaning needs
• perform minor maintenance
• complete other cleaning-related tasks
• participate in required training.
