Relief Caregiver / Direct Support Professional

Job overview

The Relief Caregiver / Direct Support Professional role is onsite in Roxboro, NC, with starting pay of $12.00–$15.00 per hour, depending on experience and program or home assignment. PCGH serves adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and traumatic brain injuries in Person County. The role exists to cover staffing needs across residential and day programs and provide direct support to individuals. Relief staff help maintain continuity of care by assisting with daily routines, supporting service-plan goals, and following health and safety procedures.

What you'll do

• Depending on program and assignment, assist with daily living skills, personal care, meals, and household routines
• support medication and health-related needs as trained and assigned
• accompany individuals to appointments, activities, outings, and community events
• help individuals work toward service-plan goals
• complete documentation
• follow health, safety, behavioral, and emergency procedures
• communicate with staff and supervisors
• help maintain a safe, comfortable, respectful environment.
