The Sanitation Technician - Days role is an onsite position based in Penn Yan, NY, with compensation of $20.00 per hour. This role supports the manufacturing operations at KanPak LLC, a global leader in beverage, yogurt, and dessert solutions. The role exists to maintain the cleanliness and food-safe environment of the facility, surrounding area, and equipment. The technician will disassemble and reassemble machinery, sanitize production rooms, and ensure compliance with food safety guidelines and standard operating procedures.

What you'll do

• Comply with KanPak policies & Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) as well as state and federal law to ensure food safety and food defense in plant.
• Comply with SOP’s.
• Prepare for state, federal and customer inspections.
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment to remove all remnants of product in machines and surrounding area.
• Clean and sanitize walls, shelves, racks conveyor belts, floors and all other equipment and machinery in production rooms.
• Properly handle products, use equipment, keep accurate logs and follow sanitation practices in accordance with food safety guidelines.
• Communicate potential issues, concerns, or risks with supervisor to achieve resolution.
• Consistently works with chemicals on a daily basis, must wear proper PPE while handling Chemicals.
