Software Engineer III

The Software Engineer III role is onsite in Omaha, NE. Compensation is not specified. CymSTAR develops simulation software for training devices and related applications. The engineer analyzes software discrepancies and requirements, designs and implements solutions, and tests modifications within fidelity, quality, cost, and schedule constraints. The role contributes to simulator development, integration, acceptance, delivery, and sustainment while coordinating with engineering and program teams.

What you'll do

• Analyze problem reports and define correction requirements
• develop conceptual and detailed designs
• code, implement, and test software solutions
• participate in simulator modification development, integration, acceptance, and delivery
• follow software baseline configuration management processes
• prepare plans, schedules, briefings, technical reports, design and test specifications, and procedures
• analyze trainer deficiencies and recommend solutions
• coordinate with program, software, electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, maintenance, and instructor personnel.

Why this role

Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, physics, or equivalent and four years of related experience or equivalent. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance are required; C#, Git, and RHEL/Unix experience are a plus.
