Event Security Agent

Job overview

The Event Security Agent role is onsite at event venues throughout New York City, with stated pay of $25–$30 per hour. The position supports safety and guest service for event guests, staff, performers, vendors, and venue personnel. The role maintains a visible security presence, monitors access and activity, and responds professionally to incidents. It helps venues manage crowd flow, enforce event policies, and provide a safe environment before, during, and after events.

What you'll do

• Monitor entrances, exits, backstage areas, VIP zones, and restricted areas
• verify tickets, credentials, identification, and access permissions
• conduct bag inspections
• patrol for hazards and suspicious activity
• assist with crowd management
• respond to disturbances, emergencies, and medical incidents
• de-escalate conflicts
• enforce venue rules
• communicate with supervisors and responders
• complete incident reports and logs
• assist with evacuations
• help guests with directions and information.
